LEAN Manufacturing

Level Ten has significant expertise with LEAN manufacturing and has successfully optimized numerous operations deploying innovative, time-tested concepts. This also extends beyond manufacturing, as lean concepts can improve the processes of service industries, as well.

What is LEAN?

As defined by Wikipedia, Lean manufacturing or lean production, often simply "lean,” is a systematic method for the elimination of waste ("Muda") within a manufacturing system. Lean also takes into account waste created through overburden ("Muri") and waste created through unevenness in workloads. The practical application of ideas in these environments is the challenge many consultants or managers encounter. We often find that one or two of the best practices properly implemented can yield significant improvements without a complete overhaul of a manufacturing process.
